Two parts of one program.

The cards your people carry, and the system that issues, controls, and settles them.

01

Infrastructure

Issuing, authorizations, a ledger, and settlement in one place. Your company owns the program. Imprest keeps it running.

  • 01Issue virtual and physical cards through one API
  • 02Record every authorization and settlement on a ledger
  • 03Settle spend back into the company’s books
  • 04Send webhooks into the tools you already use

02

Cards

Virtual cards go out the day someone joins. Physical cards ship when the work needs one in hand.

  • Assigned to a person, not a shared pool
  • Limits, merchants, and categories on the card itself
  • Freeze or replace a card without opening a ticket chain

How it works

Company funds in. Employee payments out.

Imprest connects your program to the cards people already know how to use. You keep the rules. The payment goes through as a normal card transaction.

  • Fund the program

The company adds funds and names who can administer spend. A card can only spend what that program has made available.

    Company account

  • Issue a card with rules

A virtual or physical card goes to a named employee. Limits, merchants, and categories sit on the card before the first payment.

    Named employee

  • Settle on the ledger

Each authorization and settlement is written to one ledger. Finance exports it, or receives the same events by webhook.

Finance decides what an employee can spend. The card enforces it at the moment of payment.

  • 02

    Merchant locks

Allow or block specific merchants and categories.

  • 03

    Freeze and reissue

Stop a card immediately, then issue a replacement.

  • 04

    Roles

Finance, admins, and managers see only what they should.

  • 05

    Webhooks

Send card events into the systems you already run.

  • 06

    Export

Pull the ledger when you close the books.
